We dig it: Man with a metal detector gets his big breakHave you ever gone treasure hunting with a metal detector? While the activity is fun and exciting, the most that many of us will find are bottle caps and the odd silver dollar here and there. But one man from England discovered the find of a lifetime when he decided to take his metal detector out back behind his favorite local pub. Luke Mahoney treasure hunts with his metal detector as a hobby, and even an experienced detectorist like him couldn’t believe his luck when he found a hidden stash of 1,061 silver coins dating back to the 15th century.
