New Year, Sweeter Fruit

We live in a world that loves to tell us what we should be prioritizing. Whether it’s family, physical health, wealth, work, never working again, or just about any other possibility, we’re oversaturated with messages about how to shape our lives.

The beautiful thing about God’s framework for our wellbeing is that we don’t have to bring it about ourselves. Galatians tells us about nine virtues that are demonstrated in the Christian life. But they aren’t goals to achieve—they’re fruit that grows by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our job is simply to receive the Spirit’s work in our life.

Today, we’re sharing four resources with you about fruits of the Spirit: peace, patience, kindness, and gentleness. We hope they encourage you to let the Holy Spirit work in and through you, so that you are free to arrange your life not according to the world’s demands but to God’s grace.
