Fall is officially upon us, so break out your most autumnal mask and check out some of the September highlights we’ve flagged in our new art guide. We’ve included a mix of shows and events, including ones offered by appointment, online, and outside (because well, safety first).
Also opening up soon is a major show of Sanford Biggers’s work at the Bronx Museum. Fellow editor Seph Rodney caught up with the artist in March and shares a thorough accounting of his bold new series.
I also chatted with cartoonist Shelby Lorman, of Awards for Good Boys, the brilliant book and Instagram account, which pokes some much-deserved fun at the wannabe woke “good boys” that abound in the art world.
