Biden plans to release all available doses of COVID-19 vaccine instead of holding back for second doses, a major pandemic policy shift

The incoming Biden administration announced a plan Friday to prioritize the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible. The announcement comes as the nation’s vaccine roll out lags and COVID-19 deaths in the US reach an all-time high, topping 4,000 a day.
