FBI tied Donald Trump and top aides to effort to silence porn star before 2016 election, new court files show

Court records unsealed Thursday show agents had gathered evidence that Trump participated in an effort to pay off Stormy Daniels, the adult-film actress who claimed to have had an extramarital affair with him years earlier. Trump had denied knowing about the payments.
