Jeffrey Epstein, financier facing federal sex trafficking charges, dies of apparent suicide in Manhattan jail cell, reports say

Epstein, a well-known wealthy financier and philanthropist who once mixed with prominent politicians and celebrities, was indicted in July on allegations he "sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes" in Manhattan and Palm Beach, Florida. The New York Times and ABC News reported Saturday morning he was found dead of an apparent suicide in his Manhattan jail cell.
