Laura, now a hurricane, is forecast to hit the Gulf Coast as a major Category 3 storm late Wednesday or early Thursday

The National Hurricane Center warned that Laura could bring winds of around 115 mph, a storm surge as high as 11 feet near the Texas/Louisiana border and up to 15 inches of rain in parts of Louisiana.
