President Donald Trump commits to 'orderly transition' after Biden officially declared election winner

Trump publicly acknowledged he will depart the White House on Jan. 20 for the first time early Thursday. The short statement came minutes after Vice President Mike Pence confirmed on the House floor that President-elect Joe Biden defeated Trump in the 2020 general election. In the statement, Trump falsely claimed that the facts were on his side.
