Rep. Liz Cheney keeps job as the third most powerful House Republican despite her impeachment vote

Republicans debated Cheney’s future during a tumultuous, hours-long, closed-door meeting of House Republicans on Wednesday that ended with Republicans voting to keep her as chair of the GOP Conference. The vote was 145-61 in favor of Cheney, with one abstaining.
