MAY & JUNE LIBRARY UPDATES

Library Now Accepting Item Returns & Curbside Pickup Starting Date

The Manchester Library bookdrops are now open to receive items borrowed before the library closed in March. Please see the Updated Library Services and Information FAQ webpage for more information.

On Monday, June 1st the Manchester library will begin its Curbside Pickup service. You will need to have a library card to place an Curbside Pickup order. If you do not have a card or cannot remember your library card numbers, please checkout our Digital Library Card registration page.

Curbside Pickup is a library lending service where patrons may remotely request library materials, then pick them up outside the library during established date and times. Please be aware that lending between other libraries has not yet resumed, so the item supply is limited.

Curbside Pickup Hours:

  • Mondays & Fridays between 11 AM – 2 PM
  • Wednesdays between 4 PM – 7 PM
  • If these dates and times do not work for you, please contact the Manchester Library staff at 978-526-7711 or manchesterbythesealibrary@gmail.com

You can remotely request library items through the library’s Online Public Access Catalog, or call library staff over the phone at 978-526-7711. If a staff member does not answer, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and a message letting staff know you would like to place a pickup order.

Also, if you need help finding titles or suggestions to request, you can use the Personalized Personalized Recommendation Request Forms and library staff will get back to you with possibilities for your next pick up.

Please be aware that there will be a three-day waiting period between submitting the Curbside Pickup request and library materials being safely available to borrow.
