| The City was excited to celebrate the success of our Curtin Ignition sponsorship recipients, John-Paul Grosser and Chelsea Arcilla. They emerged, along with 90 other aspiring entrepreneurs, from the week-long intensive on Friday 8 September ready to take their business from concept to commercialisation. Our participants found the support of the entrepreneurial community invaluable, saying the program was world class. John-Paul was one of five participants who was selected to present at the grand finale and we were thrilled to hear his pitch. |

| The X-TEND WA Program, funded through the New Industries Fund, aims to boost innovation in Western Australia. Applications are open now for initiatives that enhance the entrepreneurial and investment landscape, creating local jobs and industries. They're looking for projects like: Educational forums Mentoring Incubators Accelerators Co-working spaces There are three streams to apply in: 1) Entrepreneurial Education 2) Investor Education 3) Broader Ecosystem Support Diversity and inclusion are encouraged, and the program welcomes proposals from all industries and markets. Successful projects must be delivered in WA over 12 months and contribute towards the growth of the innovation community. The New Industries Fund can co-contribute up to $100,000 per application. |
