Farmers in the state are facing extreme difficulties not being able to purchase seeds and fertilisers for the ongoing Rabi sowing season due to shortage of new currency notes. Rashtriya Mazdoor Kisan Sangh president Shivkumar Sharma claimed that demonetisation mismanagement would take a heavy toll on Rabi crops production as non-availability of currency notes is paralysing the sowing of wheat and lentils.
