AARP Events Presentation

Join AARP Maine for free pastries on Friday, May 31 at 1 p.m. and learn about some big events coming to Bangor in June. Volunteer State President André Chassé and Associate State Director for Advocacy and Outreach Alf Anderson will discuss what AARP Maine does throughout the year on behalf of those aged 50-plus in Maine. They’ll also provide a preview of upcoming free programs in greater Bangor, including a shredding event, “Dark Secrets: The Terrible Truth About Elder Abuse in the Family”, an LGBTQ+ film screening and discussion, and a Movies for Grownups screening of a poignant action-comedy. They’ll also discuss our monthly free coffee socials and future On Taps, and our June 22 presence at Bangor Pride. Can’t make the presentation? Medicare Information

Protect your Medicare number. Anyone calling and asking you to confirm your Medicare number or saying your number has changed is a scam, hang up immediately. Scammers will try to convince you over the phone that something is wrong in an attempt to gain your personal information. Companies and providers will not randomly call and ask you to confirm your Medicare number.
