Kindness Day

Eastern Area Agency on Aging is teaming up with Stanley Subaru and WABI to see how much kindness our communities can spread for a great cause!

Our agency desperately needs donations for our Meals on Wheels program. Due to cuts to federal funding and increased demandin our service area, we're facing a $100,000 funding shortfall which has led us to begin a waitlist, which currently totals over 150 people.

On Aug. 8th, we will hold a day-long fundraiser, asking our community to donate to our Kindness Day campaign. We encourage online donations at EAAA.org/KindnessDay, but will also accept cash, checks, and credit cards at the Durgin Center throughout the day.

Learn more at EAAA.org/KindnessDay. With your help, we can ensure that our community's most vulnerable members get the nutrition they need.

Office Closure

Eastern Area Agency on Aging and the Durgin Center will be closed August 20th for a Staff Day.

Harvest For Help

Eastern Area Agency on Aging is thrilled to host our second annual Fall breakfast fundraiser, called Harvest for Help! The proceeds for the Harvest for Help Fundraiser will supplement federal funding to support EAAA’s programs.

This breakfast will focus on nutrition and its importance for all of our community members throughout life. Food is more than just a meal and can effect our entire wellness picture. The event will feature a moderated panel with industry leaders from the area to talk about the role nutrition plays in our lives and the work that we do.

You can check out the event information at EAAA.org/HarvestforHelpBreakfast. Tickets are now available and can be purchased at EAAA.org/HarvestForHelpTickets.

Dear Marci,

My pharmacist mentioned that I might be able to get onto a program called Extra Help. Can you explain the benefits of enrolling in this program?
