Genesis 1:26 says, "Then God said, 'Let US make humankind in OUR image.’” From the very beginning, we are embedded in nature and each other. We are part of an interconnected universe, yet how can we know this connection is real? What if community is reality and separateness is illusion? We invite you to reflect on what it really means to hold each other in our sacred cosmic connection. Join us for a few moments to share presence together. An Invitation to Serve on the Finance & Operations CommitteeFounded by Fr. Richard Rohr, the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) exists to introduce Christian contemplative wisdom and practices that support transformation and inspire loving action. Volunteers on CAC board committees play an instrumental role in helping guide the development of policies and procedures that help our team carry out our mission in a sustainable and impactful way. CAC faces a difficult challenge and amazing opportunity. We possess a stable financial foundation and strong internal controls. At the same time, we are working to institutionalize our founder’s vision, values, and impact in order to ensure we can carry them forward in service to future generations of spiritual seekers. As part of this transition, we are seeking candidates to become volunteer members of CAC’s Finance and Operations Committee. The Committee oversees the organization’s financial model and key internal controls on behalf of the full Board of Directors. Uniquely, the Committee is also overseeing implementation of CAC’s newly adopted Financial Philosophy, created with Fr. Richard’s support in 2020 to foster congruence in all aspects of our financial model with the values and spirituality we teach. Learn more about this opportunity.
