PPP application now open for smallest business

The U.S. Small Business Administration opened an exclusive PPP loan application for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 20 employees on Wednesday. The exclusivity window will last for 14 days.

Initial S.C. unemployment claims drop by 770 in week

Richland County saw a state-high 393 claims filed for the week ending Feb. 20, when 3,705 initial claims were filed across the state and $72.8 million in benefits paid out. The previous week saw 4,475 claims filed.

Aldi US aims to become 3rd-largest grocer by 2022

The grocer, with Midlands locations in Columbia, West Columbia and Lexington, recently broke ground on a Mauldin store as part of the company's goal to become the country's third-largest grocer by store count in a year. 

2021 PGA Championship limits spectators to 10,000

PGA of America will welcome fans back to the annual event for the first time since 2019, but will cap crowds at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort at 10,000. Admission factors will include time of ticket purchase and daily inventory.
