NEWSFLASH: DEVELOPMENT TEAM SUNWEB'S JARNO MOBACH WINS THE FINAL OLYMPIA'S TOUR SHOWDOWN

After launching a solo attack from the break with 15 kilometres to the line, Development Team Sunweb's Jarno Mobach (NED) held back his chasers to take an emphatic victory at the final stage of Olympia's Tour.

Development Team Sunweb had stage six of Olympia's Tour marked in their road book as a stage that suited them, and after executing their tactical plan to perfection they secured a well deserved stage victory after a tough week of racing. As soon as a 100 kilometre effort in the breakaway from Florian Stork (GER) came to an end, Mobach went on the attack inside a group of 10 riders. With 15 kilometres to go he launched what proved to be the race winning move, going solo to the line holding off his chasers with a strong 15 second lead. This victory marks the 19-year-old's first victory in Development Team Sunweb's colours. Mobach also finishes the Olympia's Tour 11th in the general classification.

After his win, Mobach said: "The team did a great job today with Florian in the breakaway and the rest of the team supporting me. We knew that we had to survive the tough parcours and be in the front on the important moments and the team really helped me be able to do that. I was able to do a long solo ride to take the win on the best stage for us. I'm so happy to take a stage in this race as a first year, it really means a lot but without the support of the team I couldn't have done it."
