In his first race wearing his new rainbow jersey, Joris Nieuwenhuis continued his winning streak at the penultimate Superprestige at Hoogstraten. 

Joris was one of the dominant riders of the race and spent most of his day leading the field. With four laps to go he was ahead with one leading competitor and the race became a battle between the two. During the last lap Joris made his move and attacked gaining a lead, crossing the line in first place. He now stands at second in the overall Superprestige classification.

After taking the win, Joris said: "Finally a real muddy cross race! I'm really happy to take the win in the rainbow jersey after a really exciting race at Hoogstraten. It was a tough battle right up until the finish line, but I managed to gain an advantage and cross the line in first place. I'm looking forward to the final cross race of the season and hope for more successes in my rainbow jersey."
