Solidarity with Ukraine As advocates of freedom and democracy, IETM stands in solidarity with Ukraine, its people, its artistic community and our Ukrainian members. Our hearts go out to our Ukrainian colleagues and friends.
We at IETM see it as our responsibility to support the Ukrainian artistic community, in the most relevant and meaningful way, and are currently working on how we can best mobilise our membership in this regard. Consult our dedicated news page where you can find our full statement, a list of useful links to donate to the cause, information on how to request and offer emergency assistance via the organisation Artists at Risk and further useful links shared by ourmembers and partners.
Upon an exceptional request from our funder, the European Commission, we share with you that the Opera aperta - laboratory of contemporary opera in Ukraine is seeking to present internationally its theatre performance Archeological opera CHORNOBYLDORF. If you are a venue or a festival willing to share stories that can represent Ukraine on an international level, you can get directly in touch with the artists and find more information about the Archeological opera CHORNOBYLDORF at this link.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Local Journey for Change - Selected ProjectsAfter receiving 54 applications for our new programme Local Journeys for Change (LJC), the LJC selection committee selected 24 impactful projects from 22 countries worldwide. Congratulations to all the 24 IETM members that will implement their projects aimed to bring change to their local communities! Each application was assessed based on how it responded to the theme of Inclusivity, Equality and Fairness, the urgency for change and the impact of this work on the local community. The committee considered clusters of projects with similar agendas so participants could learn from each other, and sought to include a wide range of people and places, with applicants ranging from individual artists to larger organisations, to reflect the diverse global performing arts ecosystem.
