As we already mentioned in our previous newsletter, Embassy Freight Services UK has an eCommerce Warehouse.

Within less than one month of Embassy UK opening their first dedicated eCommerce Warehouse, they have secured the business of the Israel Cycling Academy. The global fulfilment has now been transferred to the UK, specifically to take advantage of what Embassy UK can offer.

The Kuwait customs authority has implemented a new customs rule. With immediate effect, all cargo shipped to and from Kuwait must be palletized.

This applies to all import and export cargo, for every FCL and LCL shipments.

Customs will charge penalties if the new requirements are not met. Cargo will then be released upon these penalties.

An important part for these documents is a HS code, also known as a statistics number or commodity code, is a 10-digit code with which any tradable commodity is classified. This system of codes is used worldwide. Internationally the first 6 digits are the same. The last numbers may vary per country or region.

To have complete assurance that you have the right HS code, you can ask customs for a “Binding Tariff Information” (a BTI). The BTI is then applied to the same commodity, throughout the entire EU.
