What Makes It Great? Discount Package

Rob Kapilow
What makes great music great? Join Rob Kapilow as he takes audiences inside the music in two concerts this season: Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition with the NEC Philharmonia (December 2) and The Train in Classic Jazz from Miller to Marsalis with Kyle Athayde Dance Party (January 20). During the programs, Rob unravels, slows down, and recomposes key passages to demonstrate why a piece is so extraordinary—all culminating in full performances of the works!

Street Pianos Update: The Artists Meet Their Pianos!

Street Pianos Boston is just a few months away, and it’s time for our artists to get started on their creations! This past Wednesday, the artists stopped by the Innovation and Design Building to learn more about the history and mission of Luke Jerram's Play Me, I’m Yours, meet their fellow artists, and get a first peek at their pianos. We captured the afternoon in this short video recap.

VOCES8 Second Performance Added

Formed in 2003 by former Westminster Abbey choristers, the British octet performs repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to modern jazz and pop arrangements. Don't miss their Boston debut on February 15 and 16 at Longy's Pickman Hall. Tickets are currently available as part of a 3-performance subscription.
