Good afternoon,

Welcome to an afternoon news update from The Scotsman

Since lockdown began we have been showcasing the arts with our Scotsman Sessions, and the 200th is quite something.

Writer Alexander McCall Smith has written a tribute to The Scotsman, in which he calls us an "an unashamed friend".

It's really worth a watch and has a poignant message about the threat to newspapers posed by the pandemic.
