| The National Institutes of Healths senior leadership is strengthening the effort to tackle a crucial problem facing the research community: sexual harassment in science. A recent update explained the steps that are being taken to address sexual harassment both within NIH itself and at institutions that receive NIH funding. NIH does not tolerate pervasive or severe harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment, anywhere that NIH-funded activities are conducted. To foster a work environment free from sexual harassment, NIH is bolstering policies, guidelines, requirements, and communications to make expectations clear to the NIH workforce and NIH-funded organizations.
