In 2011 Mike Williams visited shearing sheds in Hay, in south-western New South Wales, to learn about “the toughest job in the world”.
That’s where he met Will, 14 at the time, who told him about his dreams of quitting smoking, becoming a cabinetmaker and leaving his hometown.
So what happened to Will? On this week’s Earshot, Mike finds out.
