NLRB lawyer: Ride-sharing drivers are contractors

Uber drivers should be considered contractors because of the freedom and control they have over their work, according to a memo from the National Labor Relations Board's Office of the General Counsel. Ride-sharing drivers and other gig workers have been rallying to have the classification changed so they receive the same benefits as those of full-time employees.
