No. 1 once again

The LSU baseball team may have lost its series finale to Arkansas on Sunday, but what the Tigers did in the previous two games was enough to convince the pollsters:

LSU is the No. 1 baseball team in the land.

The Tigers swept the top spot in the four major national polls Monday: D1Baseball.com, USA Today coaches' poll, Baseball America and Perfect Game. It is that ranking that the Tigers will take into this week's regular season-ending series at South Carolina, Thursday-Saturday in Columbia.

In my column on the baseball Tigers, I write that while LSU may not be perfect, the Tigers are in as good a spot as you could have asked for at this point in the season. Finally, our Koki Riley has five takeaways from the LSU-Arkansas series.

To football now, with news that LSU has scheduled a home-and-home series with SMU starting in 2028. There was a time when you might have thought running back John Emery would still be playing for the Tigers when that series starts, but apparently he has decided to transfer.

LSU has released its Class of 2025 for induction into the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame. Click here to see who are the six honorees for this year.

Finally, the LSU men's golf team needs a huge final-round rally to advance out of the NCAA Amherst (Virginia) Regional to get to the NCAA Championships.

You know what's next ... thank you for reading and subscribing. We'll catch you next time.
