No Deal: Memorial Hermann and Baylor Scott & White Abandon Merger Talks

Merger talks to form one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the nation, by combining Memorial Hermann Health System and Baylor Scott & White, have fallen apart.

The two Texas-based systems announced their decision, without much detail, in a joint statement Tuesday.

"We will continue to seek opportunities for collaboration as two forward-thinking, mission-driven organizations," they said.
