Bought a lemon? You cannot make lemonade

Caveat emptor: An LSU professor got a great deal on a 2006 Lexus. The deal was so sweet that when the transmission failed two days later, he believed someone pulled a fast one on him.

A man convicted for his role in the death of Barry Seal has lost a bid for freedom.  Gov. John Bel Edwards denied parole for Bernardo Vasquez, who was convicted in Seal's death.

According to prosecutors, Vasquez tracked Seal's whereabouts for the Pablo Escobar cartel. Seal was a drug runner and a government informant, and was a shot and killed in the parking lot of a Baton Rouge halfway house in 1986.

Body camera footage from the police beating of a Memphis man could be released soon. Baton Rouge's police chief wants community members and his officers to pray ahead of time. 

Five officers have been accused in the man's death, and Chief Murphy Paul said there is concern that the video "may spark responses" once it's released. Baton Rouge saw protests after the 2016 death of Alton Sterling, who was killed after police responded to reports of a man with a gun at a store on North Foster Drive.
