Non-attachment

Dear Yogi,

Let your concern be with the action alone, and never with the fruits of action. Do not let the results of your action be your motive, and do not be attached to inaction” – The Bhagavad Gita

One of the key concepts in yoga philosophy is ‘Aparigraha’, or ‘Non-attachment’, guiding us how to live more peacefully with ourselves and the world around us. We often worry so much about the outcome of a work project, a holiday or even a meal, that we forget to enjoy the process itself.

On the yoga mat, we might push ourselves into asanas that don’t serve our body just to feel a sense of achievement. And while progress in our practice is encouraging, it doesn’t have to be the only reward. The sheer joy of the practice is a great reward in itself - and how freeing is it, just for once, not to have a goal we must reach?

Check out our classes below and delight in practicing, just because you can!

“Thank you, that was such a lovely integrated class; a joyful, present flow and one of the most precious classes. I will return to this, but, "just for now", I soak up the lightness and joy for movement and life that your sharing of a simple structure, that was seamless because of your own development and years of practice, has given me.”
