Here's a look at today's top headlines in Baton Rouge.


Unchecked overdosing leading to record deaths

Overdose deaths are at a record in Baton Rouge, and they're coming as drug addiction expands. In addition to the 300 deaths last year, the area had 1,460 non-fatal overdoses last year. Jackie DeRobertis reports on how some people are finding help.


LSU lawsuit changes

A former associate athletic director at LSU has until tomorrow to alter her lawsuit alleging the school retaliated against her after she reported former coach Les Miles had sexually harassed student workers. A lawyer Sharon Lewis says the ex-university official was herself the victim of sexual harassment. Here is Andrea Gallo's story.


School board redistricting

East Baton Rouge Parish School Board members will hold a special meeting tonight to look at a number of possible changes in their districts. Some options include adding new seats to the board and creating additional Black-majority districts. They're looking at 18 maps, and while the effort tonight is to reduce the number of maps ton consider, it's entirely possible that even more could emerge.
