| | Meet the winners of the Nordic Built Cities Challenge An ambitious plan to handle rainstorm flooding while simultaneously addressing local social community development landed the Soul of Nørrebro project the Nordic first prize in the Nordic Built Cities Challenge and NOK 500.000. The team behind the project edged out 18 other urban development projects from some of the best urban innovators in the Nordic countries at the Nordic finale at DR Koncerthuset in Copenhagen 3 November. The second prize and NOK 400.000 went to the Co-op City project, while the Eyes of RunavÃk project secured the third prize and NOK 300.000. Read more about the winning projects |
A Nordic door-opener Four months have passed since we finished the Nordic Independent Living Challenge. For many of the participants, the competition helped them open doors in the Nordics they otherwise would not have found, resulting in competence, new partners and access to larger markets. Main prize winners AbleOn Medical has since winning the Nordic Independent Living Challenge increased their staff with three FTEs, including one of their former competitors they met through the competition. The team behind semi-finalist Safe and Independent Living, Danish Falck and Icelandic E21, met through the competition and are continuing the partnership, while MotiTech AS has introduced MotiView in all five Nordic countries.
