Health care professionals say the term burnout does not fully capture the range of emotions and the scope of problems they face dealing with work-related stress. While this article focuses on the health care industry, many of the themes apply to other sectors. Some forms of burnout are routine and systemic, but experts say levels of stress being endured during the pandemic shouldn't always be categorized as burnout.

Little Island -- an elevated park that looks like it's floating over the Hudson River in New York City -- opened last week to the public. The park sits atop 132 tulip-shaped, corrosion-resistant precast concrete pods that required extensive 3D modeling and specialized installation. The project had been in the works long before the pandemic, but it takes on greater significance today as demand for park space grows.
