What about Revolution? Three Lectures on Aesthetic Practices after 1917

MoMA curator Leah Dickerman will deliver the final lecture in this series, “How Can a Work of Art Be Revolutionary? Case Studies in the History of the Left.” 

After the lecture, the related installation What about Revolution? Aesthetic Practices after 1917 in the University Teaching Gallery on Level 3 will remain open until 8pm. More


Materials Lab Workshop: Dutch Old Master Drawing Materials and Techniques

After taking a close look at early Dutch Golden Age drawings, participants will try their hand at drawing in the manner of early Dutch masters, exploring historical media and instruments. More

Film: Earth

Join us for a screening of Deepa Mehta’s Earth, the third and final film in her acclaimed Elemental trilogy. Mehta will offer introductory remarks and take part in a discussion after the film. Offered in conjunction with the installation Women in South Asian Art, on view in the University Teaching Gallery on Level 3. More

Our current installation of 31 drawings from the Abrams collection is divided into four thematic sections, highlighting pen-and-ink drawing, the emergence of high and low genre, the Dutch take on mannerism and its interpretations of the body, and landscape. More
