Delegation flies the Shannon flag

There is growing sentiment among the Irish-American community of the need for greater efforts to ensure balanced regional development in Ireland, Chief Commercial Officer of Shannon Group Andrew Murphy stated following a busy round of St. Patrick’s Day engagements. 

A Shannon Group team led by Chairman Rose Hynes, Group Head of Marketing Marie Slattery and the Chief Commercial Officer attended over 25 events, including key gatherings with leading influencers among the strong Irish-American community, across Washington, New York, Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia over the week-long programme.

March on Boston

Some 15 years after it last marched in the U.S. for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, an 18 strong team of Police Fire Service from Shannon Airport marched in the second largest parade in the US, the Boston Parade on Sunday, March 20th.  The parade, attended by over one million people took place on the streets of South Boston.

Young Innovators at SNN

How society will live, work, play, shop, learn and travel half a century away will be imagined next week when 1,000 students, teachers and mentors nationwide gather at Shannon Airport for the ITLG Young Innovators event in association with LIT. The event takes place on Wednesday next, April 6th when students will transform the check-in area of the airport into one great think-tank for the future.

As of April 1st 2016, all travelers to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (including infants and children) must must have a valid e-Passport, along with a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) for travel to the United States.
