With another bright morning upon us, it feels like summer is well and truly here. It's so much easier to get up in the morning with the sun beaming through the window. Get the coffee brewing and we'll talk you through some of today's stories. 

 

Is it the biggest story today? Probably not. Is it the one we're leading with today. Yes. Yes it is.

 

Glasgow's infamous Willy Wonka Experience is being turned into a musical, and will debut at the Edinburgh Fringe. 

 

Its one of our favourite continuing sagas of the year, every twist and turn more enjoyable than the last. 

 

Next up, healthcare. Our Health Correspondent has taken a look at the soaring demand for private healthcare as admissions hit a record high in Scotland.  

 

"Compared to 2022, in 2023 the total number of Scottish patients skipping NHS-waiting lists and instead being admitted to a private hospital was up eleven per cent, with self-pay admissions up eight per cent - the highest level ever."
