This eclectic sale includes an excellent private collection of late 18th and early 19th-century pistols ranging from £200 to £1500. The aviation section is bolstered by several original paintings by respected artist Adrian C. Rigby and an aircraft compass used by C.L Pashley in the 1911 Michelin Trial. A good selection of naval documents from the 17th century onwards was also to be sold, including a fascinating group of letters from an American-Irish sailor who was pressganged into service with the Royal Navy. Elsewhere, this nearly 300-lot sale hosts a good selection of hunting and survival knives alongside the usual assortment of medals, uniforms and insignia.
