Why Vice Is Trying to Build a Community—on OnlyFans

OnlyFans is not dissimilar to Patreon—creators can offer subscriptions to exclusive content. The big difference lies in the content the two are known for. Patreon features artists, musicians and fitness experts. OnlyFans is most known for giving sex workers a place to build a loyal community. Vice chose to enter the latter, creating a $4.99 subscription for Munchies, its food vertical.

Chasing a community: Vice's executive producer of digital video spoke with Adweek about why the publisher entered the new platform.

‘The Industry Is Paralyzed by Vague Proposals Put Forward by Google’

Ari Paparo, Beeswax CEO, is not one to shy away from espousing his ad-tech takes on Twitter. To end 2020, he spoke with Adweek's programmatic reporter Ronan Shields about what really mattered in the industry during this challenging year.

Paparo's take on Google, the most important player in ad tech:

Paparo's need to know comments: You can check out the full interview with one of ad-tech's most knowledgeable players here.

That roller coaster ride led to innovation (think ready to drink cocktails and ecommerce/delivery here) in order to keep alcohol brands afloat.

Inside the industry: Experts reveal what breakthroughs should keep growing in 2021.
