“Oasis Knebworth 1996” Captures a Transcendent Moment in Music History

On Aug. 27, 2024, the impossible happened. Noel and Liam Gallagher announced that after 15 years of fighting, they’re putting their differences aside and reuniting for a reunion tour. Oasis will play 14 shows in the U.K. and Ireland next year. According to a press release, shows outside of Europe will be announced at a later date. Those of us in North America will just have to wait a little longer to try to snag tickets. In the meantime, while we wait, we thought it’d be fitting to revisit this piece — originally published in 2021 — about another historic live show in the band’s history.

Yesterday, we asked which of these adventurous travel excursions sound most exciting, You said:

  • Mountain biking in Moab (11%)
  • Trekking in Nepal (19%)
  • Sport fishing in Chilean Patagonia (20%)
  • Expedition cruising to the Arctic (23%)
  • Diving in the Galapagos (27%)

A Bartender’s Guide to the Best Bars in Montreal

If you’ve yet to visit Montreal, consider this your sign. With nonstop flights from various U.S. cities and accessible via a six-and-a-half hour, straight-shot drive from New York City (hop on I-87 outside Manhattan, take that for 373 miles and you’ll wind up in downtown Montreal), Montreal’s top selling points include a world-class summer jazz festival, an abundance of incredible things to eat and getting a taste of Europe without the jet lag, courtesy of historic Old Montreal and the French-speaking locals.

Between all the music, food and picturesque strolls, we suggest you also take part in another thing this city excels at — drinking. But because you, like most visitors, will likely only spend a long weekend here and can only drink so much over the course of two or three days, we turned to Montreal bartending all-star Kate Boushel to point us towards a few bars worth prioritizing.

Now Is the Perfect Time to Visit Fort Worth, Texas

Bella Hadid recently traded New York for Fort Worth, Texas. It raised some eyebrows. But whether or not the city’s new celebrity resident moves the needle for you, there’s no denying that Fort Worth is having a moment — or, more accurately, it’s been having a continuous series of moments for the past few years. Its population growth is outpacing nearly every large city in the country, bringing in creatives, entrepreneurs and others from both coasts and many places in-between.

To see what all the fuss is about, we made the long trek to eat, drink, spend the night and otherwise experience all that’s happening in Fort Worth right now. Short story: there’s a lot. Here’s how to make the most of your time in the city.
