Nursing home reports missing drugs and incorrect records: Chagrin Falls police blotter
Police are investigating multiple discrepancies in the medication logs and missing drugs reported 7:29 p.m. Aug. 12 for a patient at a Chagrin Falls nursing home facility. The Laurels of Chagrin Falls reported the problem to police. Further information was unavailable in the initial police report.

Burglar enters woman’s home as she sleeps, steals computer: Cleveland Heights police blotter
A Cleveland Heights police officer stopped a car he saw drive through a red light. The male driver did not have a license and was found to be in possession of marijuana and a digital scale. Two male passengers in the car were not charged.

Lightning strikes house, rain floods street: Russell Township police blotter
Russell Township police and fire fighters responded to storm damage calls August 23. A Kinsman Road resident reported 10 p.m. that the house was struck by lightning and there was smoke inside the home. Officers assisted the fire department crew. At 10:18 p.m. a motorist called in flooding on Caves Road near Sunrise Lane from the heavy rainstorm. Road closed signs were placed to block the flooded street.
