The Nuss bus is back for one more magical mystery tour at LSU. Tigers starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier announced Wednesday that is returning to quarterback the team in 2025, bringing stability to a disrupted quarterback room after the late recruiting flip of Bryce Underwood to Michigan. I heard last week that Nussmeier's father Doug, a former NFL quarterback and currently QBs coach with the Philadelphia Eagles, wanted his son to return for another year of college experience before turning pro. Now that appears to be the case, and Tiger fans should be grateful. Wednesday was a busy news day on the LSU front, as the SEC also released the 2025 conference football schedule. LSU's entire schedule reads as follows: - Aug. 30: at Clemson
- Sept. 6: La. Tech
- Sept. 13: Florida
- Sept. 20: SLU
- Sept. 27: at Ole Miss
- Oct. 11: South Carolina
- Oct. 18: at Vanderbilt
- Oct. 25: Texas A&M
- Nov. 8: at Alabama
- Nov. 15: Arkansas
- Nov. 22: Western Kentucky
- Nov. 29: at Oklahoma
In case you're wondering, the 2025 SEC schedule is just 2024's schedule flipped over, with teams traveling to face schools they hosted this year. There was another departure on the transfer portal front Wednesday, with another Tiger announcing he's leaving the LSU den. We've got the updated LSU portal tracker right here. Finally, I've got an update on former LSU beach volleyballers turned Olympians Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth. They just wrapped up 2024 with a big win in Doha and are now set to host their annual charity beach volleyball tournament in Kenner. You can find deals with the story. That's all for today, folks.
