We've got a wide selection of striking one-off jewellery pieces by some brilliant UK designers here at Atelier Beside the Sea, plus candles, prints, ceramics, homewares and textiles by some seriously talented makers. On Saturday 28th of January, Scott Millar will be in the gallery. A hugely experienced Goldsmith, Scott will be on hand to help you find the perfect piece - and fit - for your loved one. Scott will be available from 11am-4pm to take orders for free re-sizing and alterations for all in-gallery jewellery purchases, as well as having a display of his latest work in the gallery. If you'd like a ring to be sized, please bring an existing ring that fits, or an accurate note of the ring size. | ATELIER ART CLUB on Brighton Beach Launching on the 21st February is our brand new weekly Atelier Art Club. Every Tuesday evening 6.00-8.30pm during term time we'll open our classroom on the beach as a relaxed, enjoyable drawing and painting studio for creatives with all levels of experience. Join the club and learn from our team of experienced tutors - all of them practising artists. You'll be able to approach your work in any way that you choose, and make as many drawings or paintings as you care to, with as much or as little instruction as you like. | We welcome back award-winning Anne Kelly for two special courses in 2023. Mixed Media Textiles: Moving Memoriesin May, and Indian Block Printing - Tree of Life in September. In the May class, you'll draw on travel, memory and collections to conjur up places you've been or would like to visit - real or imagined - making a personal and meaningful folding book. Working from techniques explored in Anne's book Textile Travels, you'll be using printing, fabric collage, fabric and paper lamination, and both hand and machine stitching.
