Pediatric care: A slew of politicos and health care leaders gathered Tuesday to break ground on the Gayle and Tom Benson Ochsner Children’s Hospital, made possible by a donation from Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson. Emily Woodruff has the story. Corps reversal: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is now saying it does not expect to have to open the Bonnet Carré Spillway due to lower-than-expected water levels. This reverses plans to divert water into Lake Pontchartrain to reduce pressure on downriver levees. Josie Abugov explains. Trial begins: Testimony began in the trial of the woman accused of beating and strangling the 6-year-old daughter of her boyfriend, stuffing her body in a bucket and leaving it outside of the girl's mother's house.
