Intercultural Cities held a side event at PACE Summer Session
How can integration policies implemented by cities contribute to a better inclusion of migrants at national level? The side event organised by the Intercultural Cities Division on “Urban policies for the inclusive integration of migrants” showcased innovative ways of dealing with the challenges and opportunities of human mobility.
Where do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home
On 14-15 June 2017, the intercultural Cities Programme organised, in cooperation with the Intercultural city of Oslo, a thematic seminar on “Human rights in the intercultural city”.
Expert’s visit to Hamamatsu: 1st Asian city to join the ICC network
Japanese experience enriches the ICC network: on 5-6 October an ICC team carried out an expert’s visit to the Japanese city of Hamamatsu, following its accession to the ICC programme.
Recognising refugee qualifications – a new initiative by the Council of Europe
The Council of Europe is developing tools to support refugees to integrate and contribute to their new host communities. One such initiative is the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees (EQPR).

On the 13th of July 2017, the BCN Antirumours Network training team organised a meeting with associations and experts with the goal of going further into concepts such as the intersectional and decolonisation perspectives.
Developing Intercultural Competence through Education
“Developing Intercultural Competence through Education” is the third book in the Pestalozzi series. This work takes a step further towards the full integration of intercultural competences as a key element within the education system.
