The Intercultural Cities Step-by-step guide is a practical tool for local authorities to apply the urban model of intercultural integration and inclusion.
Donostia/San Sebastián (Spain): another Intercultural city awarded the 2019 Europe Prize
The 2019 Europe Prize – the highest level of the Prize which is awarded each year by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to the town most active in promoting the European ideal – has been awarded to Donostia / San Sebastián in Spain.
ICC Study visit to Haifa, Israel
The Study visit presented Haifa’s intercultural practices considering its wider historical and geographical setting, as well as history, geography and politics of the region. It showed how an open management of public space can promote participation, interreligious dialogue and intercultural interaction.
Conference on religious diversity in Fuenlabrada
The city council of Fuenlabrada organises a working day on the public management of religious freedom at the municipal level to deepen and reflect on the role that local policies should play in this area.

ICC information meeting for Québec region: publication of the conclusions
Last 15 May, on the occasion of the ICC Experts’ visit to Montréal (Canada) the ICC Delegation and the University of Montreal held an information meeting to present the Intercultural Cities Programme to the Union of Municipalities of Quebec (UMQ).

Montreal launches a policy of non-discriminatory access to all municipal services
On June 5, Rosannie Filato, head of public security on the Executive Committee, and Magda Popeanu, vice-president of the Executive Committee and head of culture and diversity in Montreal, unveiled two new actions by the Bureau d'intégration des nouveaux arrivants de Montréal (BINAM) to strengthen the sense of security among immigrants without legal status or in precarious immigration status, including asylum seekers.
