Our October Antiques and Interiors Auction comprises over 400 lots of jewellery, watches, ceramics, glassware, coins, stamps, clocks, furniture, rugs.

Taking place in the Darwin Saleroom, highlights include a James I silver seal top spoon, E *, London 1622 and a woodcut print titled The Wonson Scholar and his Disciples by Elizabeth Keith (Scottish 1887-1956), dated 1921.

Lot 319: Alan Grainger (Acornman) a pale oak sideboard, the canted top above a central bank of four adzed drawers, flanked by a pair of drawers over hinged cupboard doors, enclosing a shelved interior, with a carved acorn motif to the front right hand side, 86cm high, 137 x 48cm, together with an associated shelved enclosed dresser / delft rack, 93 x 130cm (180 cm united) (2).

The auction is split into 3 sections with entry limited to 20 people* per section:

2. Lot 150 - 233
3. Lots 234 - 401
*Only room bidders are allowed in the room.
All bidders will be required to wear a face mask.

You will need to register on the day of the sale prior to the auction beginning.
  • Go to the bidding office to the right of main reception
  • We will ask for your name, address and contact details
  • If you have not bid with us before we will ask for identification including a form of photo ID (such as driving license or passport) and a proof of address (such as utility bill or bank statement)
  • You will be issued with a paddle number and this will identify you to the auctioneer and other staff throughout the auction
Telephone Bidding
(must be placed by 4.30pm the day before)

You can arrange to be contacted by telephone to bid during the auction.

Commission Bidding
(must be placed by 4.30pm the day before)

You may leave an absentee bid, also known as a commission bid, which is the maximum you wish to spend excluding Buyer’s Premium.

You can do this by one of the following ways:
