October Repair Cafe at Walter Baker Sports Centre
Get your items fixed, from clothing to bike repairs to the wiring in your favourite lamp, our fixers and menders will be sharing their knowledge and fixing your items! Repair Cafés reduce landfill waste while also building community and teaching people new skills. Come and join us!

Workspace Safety 101 & 201 Workshops

Discover the world of power tools with our comprehensive safety courses! Our OTL Safety 101 and 201 classes introduce you to a variety of tools, including band saws, mitre saws, drills, table saws, and planers. Learn proper handling techniques and safety protocols to confidently use these tools. You learn different tools in each workshop, so take a look to see what you’re interested in learning! 
Important note: Completing at least one of the two OTL Workspace Safety courses is mandatory for those wishing to use our WorkSpace.

Join us for an evening of leatherwork and make a beautiful leather wallet! In this beginner workshop lead by Chris, you'll be using vegetable-tanned leather to create a beautiful finished product.

Woodworking Workshop for Members of the LGBTQI2SL+ Community (ages 55+)

We're excited to be hosting another workshop for members of the LGBTQI2SL+ community (ages 55+) supported by the New Horizons for Seniors Program! This workshop will provide training on the following tools: band saw, mitre saw, drill press, and drill. You'll be learning new skills while making a beautiful candle holder! 

Please don't book a ticket until you have confirmed that you can attend. Space is limited and we want to give as many people as possible the chance to attend.
Monday, October 28th from 6-9pm (LGBTQI2SL+ members ages 55+)
Chisel and Blade Sharpening Workshop

Join us for an informative workshop on sharpening edge tools like planes and chisels. We'll cover theory, techniques, and practical skills, including using various sharpening media and maintaining your newly sharpened tools. Bring your dull chisels to practice! We will be working on a variety of whetstones.
