New Date for
Learn to Mend & Clothing Swap

Our September demo night has been rescheduled due to the tornado! Join us on Monday, October 29th at the Ottawa Tool Library from 6pm - 9pm.

Bring clothing or textiles in need of repair and learn how to sew, darn, felt, and patch your way back to useable clothing! We'll have hands-on demonstrations and one-on-one training. 

Don't forget to bring used clothing, yarn, and knitting suppliesfor our swap!

Take 3D Tour of the Tool Library

Thanks to Point 3D Commercial Imaging you can now take a 3D virtual tour of the Ottawa Tool Library! You can explore the entire tool library on our website.  A huge shout out to Spencer and his team for capturing our tool home!
Recap: Maker Faire Ottawa
 

The Ottawa Tool Library had an amazing time at Maker Faire September 29th & 30th at the Canada Science and Technology Museum!

We met other members of the maker community and had fun playing "Guess the Tool" with kids of all ages! We had one young friend guess one of the toughest tools - the live wire tester. Do we spy a future Tool Ninja?? 

Spotlight on Sarah Patterson 
One of our members, Sarah Patterson, used tools from the tool library to fix an old van for the road trip of a lifetime! She spent the summer travelling 6,500 km to the East coast and is now on her way out West with her pup. We LOVE hearing about what our members are up to! You can check out more pictures of her story on her Instagram page. 

Volunteers & Businesses Needed 

StopGap Ottawa is looking for single-stepped businesses in Ottawa to take part in their Community Ramp Build later this Fall! Ramps will be provided at a reduced cost of $150 each.
