A lot of people don’t know Geof’s story, and I think it’s pretty inspiring, so I wanted to share a little bit of it with you today.
A native Oklahoman, Geof’s original career was as a natural gas pipeline engineer, which he spent a decade doing.
But eventually, he started to get to know Tom Busby, aka “TBUZ,” the founder of DTI, and got an itch for trading.
He found out quickly that his background working with pipelines gave him special insights into the oil and commodities markets, and he worked with TBUZ more and more, until he left the pipes behind and became DTI’s CEO and head educator.
He’s done versions of that job now for nearly a quarter-century, working with Tom side by side for over two decades.
And Geof is, truly, one of the most dedicated teachers I’ve ever seen in action. I’ve had the pleasure of sitting in on some of DTI’s exclusive “Sawgrass” workshops, getting to see him in his element, and it’s something to behold.
He spends as much time as anyone needs as a teacher, a guide, personal tech support… whatever they need to get ahead. |
