Old Hardee's spot in Carencro to go dark again

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

The old Hardee's building that sat empty for a couple years just off I-49 in Carencro will soon be empty again.

Sole Haus Kitchen, the locally owned eatery that opened there last year as a second location, will close up this weekend.

It's a tough time for smaller restaurants in the region, my restaurant source told me a while back, since the big names like Superior Grill have entered the market recently. Everyone likes new things, apparently.

That location is ideal for visibility, but realtors say it's a tight spot for a restaurant with a lot of volume. It's kind of carved in there behind the Taco Bell.

But I guess like anything else, it just takes the right concept.

You can read my story here.

Have a great day and thanks again for reading.
