The District’s annual celebration of spring and the friendship between Japan and the United States kicks off Saturday at 5 p.m. with a free opening ceremony at the historic Warner Theatre. Bring the little ones to Butler’s Orchard in Germantown on Friday and Saturday for seasonal fun, including hayrides, egg hunts and visits from real bunnies, lambs and chicks. There will also be goodie baskets, giant slides and pedal tractor rides. Read more

For ages 11 and younger
On Saturday, kids can hunt for candy and special eggs in Cherry Hill Park and then have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Read more
